Position Summary
Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring (Aspen Hill), MD has immediate openings for funeral attendants to lead in funeral processions and represent the cemetery at committal services. These are part-time, on-call positions, although a schedule may be possible. Must have ability and willingness to work flexible hours during Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM office hours. High school diploma/GED and a clean driver’s record are required. Must be dependable, punctual, comfortable interacting with other staff members, other professionals, and grieving families. Professional attitude, appearance, and attire are required. Must be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions and able to assist as pallbearer if needed. No prior cemetery experience necessary.
